Anti-ageing with Serums

Serums are skin care products that are designed to deliver high concentrations of specific active ingredients to the skin.

Behind every good skincare routine lies one very important step: serum.

Serums contain the most potent dose of anti-aging ingredients. After you apply your serum, apply your favorite moisturizer to seal in the skin, locking in moisture and nutrients.

With all topical serums, a challenge when manufacturing is ensuring penetration into the skin. Trans-dermal (via the dermis) delivery of skincare actives requires the molecular weights to be less than 500 Da.  Larger molecules cannot pass the top layer (called the "corneal" layer).

Tips for using serums

After cleansing, your serum should be applied over the entire face, neck and décolletage. Gently press on with your fingertips and allow it to absorb into the skin for a few minutes before applying a moisturizer.

Apply about a dime size of serum with two fingers and massage thoroughly into the skin. More serum does not equal more benefit. Your skin can only absorb a certain amount, and when a serum is packed with great actives, you don’t need large amounts. Using a serum often is better than simply applying more

Our Serums

We specialise in manufacturing potent anti-ageing serum including Hyaluronic Acid Serum, Vitamin C serum and our anti-ageing serum which is packed with superpower anti-ageing ingredient Vitamin A, Vitamin E and plant acids.

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Serum

The skin’s hyaluronic acid content starts to decrease in as early as twenty years of age and is reduced to half by the age of fifty.

Hyaluronic Acid is the king of moisturizer in the skincare family.   Hyaluronic Acid has been employed to help the skin to regain elasticity, turgor and moisture.  Hyaluronic Acid is able to hold up to 1,000 times its molecular weight in water. Hyaluronic acid penetrates the skin and binds water to skin cells, infusing all layers of the skin with valuable, rejuvenating moisture.

In studies, after participants have used hyaluronic acid serum - they have experienced an improvement in fine lines/wrinkles, coarse lines/wrinkles and skin roughness.

Vitamin C Serum

The active form of vitamin C, l-ascorbic acid, for example, can act as both an antioxidant and as a promoter of collagen synthesis.

Vitamin C or ascorbic acid has been shown to decrease pigmentation via inhibition of tyrosinase- the enzyme that produces melanin. Ascorbic acid is also a free radical scavenger, decreasing UV induced ‘stressors’. Vitamin C is also a key vitamin in the synthesis of collagen.

You need to be very careful of where you buy Vitamin C because it easily decomposes into inactive compounds in aqueous solutions and this has limited its topical use.

Anti-Wrinkle Resurfacing Serum

This serum is comprised of Vitamin A, carefully chosen fruit and plant acids, as well as Vitamin E. It is particularly gentle and allows you to get the anti-ageing benefits from Vitamin A without the purging you normally get from prescription Vitamin A.

Contains, vitamin A, the ‘gold standard’ topical clinical treatment for antiageing. This can significantly improve the clinical appearance of facial wrinkles. Histological studies have shown that application of this to the skin increases: the amount of collagen types I and III within photoaged dermis

Profound concentrations of bio-available vitamin E ensure more efficient skin remodelling. Vitamin E has been shown to increase the antioxidant potential of dermal and epidermal cells through up-regulation (when a cell produces more receptors)  of antioxidants.

Carefully chosen fruit and plant acids work synergistically to facilitate healthy cellular turn over and regeneration.

This serum is a great all-rounder serum to apply before bed or when you are doing spa treatments.
